Avant-garde filmmaker who directed the film Lisinski about composer Vatroslav Lisinski.
He participated in an amateur film competition in Paris in 1933, where his film Poslovi konzula Dorgena was well-received and praised by critics including Louis Lumiere .
He was honored with the Vladimir Nazor Award for lifetime achievement in 1967.
He spent his entire life in Zagreb.
He was born in the same country as director Vinko Bresan .
