Oleksandr Usyk
ABOUT OLEKSANDR USYK
2008 lightweight European Amateur Boxing Champion, 2011 heavyweight World Amateur Boxing Champion, and 2012 heavyweight gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
He achieved an Olympic gold medal before turning professional which he did in late 2013 in a fight against Felipe Romero that he won by TKO.
He has also taken home bronze medals in World Amateur Championships and European Amateur Championships.
He was born in Simferopol, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. He and his wife Kateryna have three children.
He took home gold at the 2012 London Games just as Luke Campbell did in the batamweight division.
