ABOUT OMAR NAVARRO

Political candidate who is widely known for his unsuccessful campaigns to represent South Los Angeles County residents in California's 43rd Congressional District. His campaigns took place in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022. During all his campaigns, he lost to longtime Democratic congresswoman Maxine Waters . He has been a member of the Republican Party.

He grew up in Inglewood, California. He studied criminal justice at ITT Technical Institute.

In 2023, he was indicted by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) on suspicion of misusing campaign funds. In 2019, he was arrested on charges of stalking, criminal threats, extortion, and violation of a restraining order.

His family emigrated from Mexico and Cuba to the United States. He has been engaged to his fiancée Tracey, who has been featured on his realomarnavarro Instagram account.

In October 2024, he made an Instagram post that featured him likening his DOJ indictment to Donald Trump 's 2023 arrest.
