ABOUT OSCAR KAO

Basketball player who plays guard for the Southeast Missouri State University's team the Redhawks. He spent the 2017-18 season at Marshalltown Community College, playing for the Tigers. He led the Taiwan basketball team in the 2016 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship in Tehran, Iran.

He graduated from Songshan High School in Taipei, Taiwan. He was part of two National Champion teams in the Taiwan High School Basketball League.

While playing for the Tigers, he averaged over 13 points a game, hitting 4.3 percent of his shots from the field and 39 percent from behind the three-point line, earning him second-team-all-region honors.

He has three brothers.

He draws inspiration - and is often compared to - Boston Celtics star guard Isaiah Thomas .
