Professional cyclist whose road racing career lasted from 1985 until 1995. He had three victories between 1986 and 1995, while placing in the top 3 in five other races.
He finished third in the Clasica de Sabinanigo race and first in the Subida Urkiola race in the early years of his cycling career.
He placed second in the 1990 Road Elite Colombia National Championships.
He was born in Urrao, Antioquia, Colombia.
He and fellow Colombian, Rigoberto Uran , both had professional cycling careers.
