Lithuanian composer of classical music. He was best known for his Sonata of the Mountains.
He graduated from Vilnius Pedagogical University before completing his mandatory military service.
He was once the ambassador to countries that included Lithuania, France, Spain, and Portugal.
His parents raised him in Vilnius, Lithuania.
He and Leopold Godowsky were both successful Lithuanian composers.
