Estonian politician who was a military commander during the Estonian War of Independence.
He studied law at St Petersburg University from 1910 to 1916.
He was arrested by the Soviets in 1945 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
His two brothers also held important military positions during the War of Independence.
He was an activist in Estonia while Vladimir Ilyich Lenin was in office for the Soviet Union.
