ABOUT PANAH HUSEYNOV

Co-founder of the Azerbaijan Popular Front who was the first Secretary of State of the Azerbaijan Republic. He also briefly held office as the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan in 1993.

He earned a degree in History from Azerbaijan State University, before working as a secondary school teacher.

He was arrested for causing disorder in the aftermath of the 2005 Parliamentary elections but was later pardoned.

He and his wife have three children together.

He served as Prime Minister of Azerbaijan under President Abulfaz Elchibey .
