ABOUT PARAS SHAH
Former crown prince and heir apparent to the throne of the Nepalese Monarchy, his father was King Gyanedra. He was the heir until 2008 when the Constituent Assembly formed and abolished the monarchy.
He attended Luther College in Iowa and at the Schiller International University in the United Kingdom, but never finished his undergraduate degree.
During the royal massacre at the Nepalese Royal Palace in 2001, Shah saved the lives of three royals and two children.
He got married to Himani Rajya Lakshmi Devi Shah, a member of the Princely family of Sikar in 2001. The couple have three children.
He is related to former Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal .
