Patrick Kombayi

ABOUT PATRICK KOMBAYI

Zimbabwean businessman and politician who served in the Senate of Zimbabwe. He was shot while campaigning against Simon Muzenda in 1990 and was left permanently disabled.

He was mayor of Gweru and a member of the Movement for Democratic Change-Tsvangirai faction.

He was arrested in 2008 for defacing a road.

He and his wife Mavis had six children.

The men who shot him never saw a day in prison because they were pardoned by Robert Mugabe .
