ABOUT PATRICK SURTAIN SR.

Cornerback who was a three-time Pro Bowler over the course of his 11-year career playing with the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs . He was named first-team All-Pro with the Dolphins in 2002.

He won state titles in football and basketball as a high school senior. He committed to playing college football for the University of Southern Mississippi .

He was the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year after playing for Southern Mississippi in 1997. He was named to the NFL's All-Pro second-team playing for the Miami Dolphins in 2003.

His son is cornerback Patrick Surtain II.

He played alongside running back Ricky Williams for the Miami Dolphins.
