Televangelist who co-founced the American Christian-based broadcast television network, Trinity Broadcasting Network, in 1973.
He obtained a degree in Theology from the Central Bible Institute and Seminary in Springfield, Missouri in 1955.
His network, Trinity Broadcasting Network, is the US's largest Christian television network and third largest group owner of broadcast TV stations in the US.
He has two sons with his wife Janice.
Like fellow Televangelist Jim Bakker , he has been involved in a scandal involving his church's finances.
