ABOUT PAUL TIBBITT

Comedian, animator and showrunner of the long-running Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SqaurePants who also served as supervising producer and co-executive producer of the show. He was the screenwriter and storyboard artists on the 2004 SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, and signed on to direct the 2015 and 2019 films as well.

At the California Institute of the Arts, he studied character animation. He previously worked on the animated shows Recess and CatDog.

He has voiced the characters of Potty the Parrot, DoodleBob and Betsy Krabs on the show.

He was born Paul Harrison Tibbitt in Los Angeles County.

He replaced Stephen Hillenburg as the showrunner of SpongeBob.
