His recording career was launched after his mid-nineties move to Toronto, and he became the first Canadian Arkadia signed to its label.
He became passionate about educating people on ear health and on how they can prevent hearing loss and ear damage.
His father was a minister, and he gained performing experience at his father's church.
He was mesmerized by Oscar Peterson while seeing him perform and decided to devote himself to jazz.
