ABOUT PERCIVAL BALL
English sculptor who worked in Australia and was known for his use of marble. He was commissioned to create a facade for the national gallery at Sydney.
He studied at the Royal Academy of Arts schools in England and won several gold medals and prizes.
His marble sculptures received high praises from his contemporaries.
He was the son of Edward Henry Ball and his wife Louisa.
He and David D'angers are both known for their marble sculptures.
