ABOUT PETE CHATMON
American Director who has directed episodes from a long list of popular television shows, some of which include HBO's Silicon Valley and Insecure , Netflix's You and Atypical , and ABC's Grey's Anatomy and Black-ish . He also wrote, directed, and produced a feature film called Premium starring Zoe Saldana , and a documentary called 761st about the first black tank battalion in WWII.
He studied film at New York University 's Tisch School of the Arts. He started his career in 2001 when his thesis film, 3D, starring Kerry Washington , was selected by Sundance.
He has a podcast called Let's Shoot! with Pete Chatmon in which he talks about directing. He has directed, shot and edited content for advertising agencies and Fortune 500 brands through his digital studio, TheDirector. His feature film, Premium, was nominated for a 2007 Best Independent Feature Black Reel Award.
He was born in New York City. In 2019, he married Grey's Anatomy actress Kelly McCreary .
He wrote, directed, and produced the independent feature film "Premium" starring Dorian Missick , Zoe Saldana , Hill Harper , Eva Pigford, Frankie Faison , and William Sadler .
