He worked as a DJ while in college and got experience with public relations working for women's basketball and men's soccer, where he was an announcer and wrote press releases and programs.

He came under fire after the release of Fallout 4, where interactions with fans led to accusations of the company not caring about the game's lore.

He has a brother who is younger by about three years.

He and Todd Howard were both involved in the release of Fallout 4.
