American artist who worked as an abstract geometric sculptor. He made Archimedes Cube, a piece with no welds, only slots.

He was in the Merchant Marines and then served in the U.S. Military in Korea and Japan.

He was renowned for his slots technique, which involved cutting slots into steel and sliding sheets together.

He was the son of a Greek immigrant.

He and Wassily Kandinsky are both known for their abstract geometric art.
