Boxing trainer known as the father of English boxer Hughie Fury . He is also a convicted criminal who was jailed for drug-related offenses.

In 1995, he was jailed for ten years for possession and intent to supply amphetamine. In 2008, he received a two-year sentence for drug-related money laundering.

In 2017, he and Joseph Parker 's promoter David Higgins exchanged barbs at a press conference in London.

His nephew is boxer Tyson Fury .

He and Eddy Reynoso both worked as boxing trainers.
