ABOUT PETER GWARGIS
Professional soccer player and athlete who is best known for playing as a right winger. He has played for several clubs throughout his senior career including the Swedish clubs Malmö, Jönköpings Södra, and Husqvarna.
After being born in Australia, he relocated with his family to Sweden when he was three years old. He spent his youth career playing for IFK Öxnehaga in Huskvarna, Sweden before making his senior debut for the English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion in September 2019.
Internationally, he has represented Sweden at both the under-17 and under-19 levels. In 2024, he went on to make his senior international debut representing Iraq. In the year 2024, he began playing for the Iraqi-Kurdish club Duhok.
He was born to Assyrian parents with roots in Iraq.
He has played alongside Alai Hussain Ghasem and Zidane Iqbal on the Iraq national football team.
