
ABOUT PETER MILLS
American Republican politician who served in the Maine Senate from 1996 to 2010. He conducted two unsuccessful gubernatorial campaigns, in 2006 and in 2010.
He attended Harvard College and graduated with honors. He went on to serve on the U.S. Navy destroyers and was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal and a Navy Commendation Medal.
He had a 32-year law career in Maine and co-founded the Somerset Economic Development Corporation and FirstPark.
He married Nancy Mills, a Superior Court justice.
Susan Collins was another noted Republican politician from Maine.
