ABOUT PEYTON SMITH

Soccer forward who committed to play at DePaul University as part of the class of 2020. He's the son of All-Pro NFL wide receiver Steve Smith .

He starred at Carmel Christian High School in North Carolina, establishing himself as one of the top scorers in the state.

After his father was ejected in a pre-season game in 2015, he joined his son in the stands, allowing them to watch a game together for the first time.

He has two brothers, Steve Jr. and Boston, and a sister, Baylee.

The elder Smith's opportunity to watch a game with his son came after fighting Chris Culliver .
