ABOUT PHIL DUNTON MURPHY
Vice Chair of the National Governors Association and appointed 56th Governor of New Jersey. He previously worked as a United States Ambassador to the country of Germany and Finance Chair of the Democratic National Committee.
He graduated from Harvard University in 1979.
He first began running for State Governor of New Jersey in 2016.
He is a native of Needham, Massachusetts. He lives with his wife and their four children.
He was selected by Barack Obama to be America's ambassador to Germany.
