ABOUT PHIL ALDEN ROBINSON
Director of the Oscar-nominated baseball film Field of Dreams as well as the acclaimed TV drama Freedom Song.
He graduated from Union College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the college in 1996.
He was named Screenwriter of the Year by the National Association of Theatre Owners in 1990.
His father was a drama critic for the New York Journal American.
His film Field of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner , proved to be a massive commercial and critical success upon its release in 1989.
