Attacking midfielder who joined Liverpool FC in 2013 after three seasons with Inter Milan . In 2018 he would join Barcelona. He became a member of the Brazilian national team in 2010.

He began in the youth system of Vasco da Gama, before a €4 million buyout sent him to Inter Milan.

He was named Liverpool Young Player of the Year in 2012-13.

He married Aine Coutinho in 2012 in Brazil; they have two daughters.
