ABOUT PHILIPPE ZDAR
French electronic dance music producer who comprises one half of the acclaimed duo Cassius along with Boom Bass. They are known for club hits like "I Love You So," "The Sound of Violence" and "Toop Toop."
He began working with Boom Bass in 1988. The pair began performing as La Funk Mob in 1991.
He co-produced the breakout album by French indie rock band Phoenix, 2009's Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
He had a daughter named Angelica.
His song "I Love You So" was sampled by Jay Z and Kanye West on "Why I Love You" from their 2011 collaborative album Watch the Throne.
