ABOUT PURITY WANGUI NGIRICI

Kenyan politician who became famous after announcing that she was leaving the United Democratic Alliance party because the party's ticket had allegedly been sold to the highest bidder. She was elected to the Kenya National Assembly in 2017 and represents Kirinyaga County. She is a member of the Jubilee Party.

She studied commerce at Gretsa University and received her master's degree in human resources at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

She is popular on her official Facebook page where she boasts 340,000 followers.

She was born and raised in Kirinyaga County.
