ABOUT RAE BURRELL

Former first round draft pick that was taken ninth overall by the Los Angeles Sparks during the 2022 WNBA draft. Prior to being drafted, she played college basketball at the University of Tennessee . While at Tennessee, she was two-time member of the All-SEC Academic team.

She is a graduate of Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada. As a senior, she was named Nevada Prep Female Athlete of the Year.

She finished her collegiate basketball career with 1,131 points scored. After surpassing the 1,000 point threshold, she became the 47th woman basketball player in program history to achieve this feat. She's quite tall for a woman, standing at 6'2". She's also nearly 170 pounds.

She was born and raised by her parents Ann and John Burrell. She is one of two siblings.

She is a former Tennessee collegiate basketball player just like Candace Parker .
