ABOUT RAJ THACKERAY

Indian politician who founded and fronts the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, a right-wing movement. His uncle, Bal Thackeray , founded the Shiv Sena.

He had interest in music and cartooning as a child but started a political career in the 1990s.

He took office as the president of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena in March 2006.

He has two children, Amit and Urvashi, with wife Sharmila Thackeray.

He hosted a political party attended by Salman Khan in 2012.
