ABOUT RAPHINHA

Professional attacking winger who has played in Brazil, Portugal, England, and France during his career. He was signed by Barcelona in July 2022. He has also played internationally for the Brazilian national team.

He first began playing soccer as a young child growing up. He eventually signed with the Avaí F.C. youth club in 2014.

He was selected to play for Brazil during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In his first ever international start he scored a goal playing against Uruguay during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

He is a native of the Porto Alegre, Brazil area. In December 2022, he and his partner, Nátalia Rodrigues, announced they were expecting a baby. They welcomed a son in May of 2023.

He has played alongside Thiago Silva as a member of the Brazilian national team.
