Before beginning his television career, he worked as a British Army soldier, police officer, and department store security guard.

He won the celebrity edition of The Weakest Link.

Following a broken engagement to Lauren Alcorn, he dated reality star Chantelle Houghton . He later became engaged to television producer Jill Morgan.

He appeared on the United Kingdom version of Big Brother, a reality series that was once hosted by Russell Brand .
