He graduated with a degree in journalism at the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2004.
He was a multiple-time Meteor Music Award winner for Best National DJ.
He had a son, Matthew, with wife Kate Carolan.
He featured Meat Loaf on his album The Essential Rock Anthems from 2009.
