ABOUT RAY MCDONALD

Defensive end who made his NFL debut in 2007 for the San Francisco 49ers, and helped lead the team to Super Bowl XLVII.

He attended the University of Florida, where he captained the team that won the 2007 BCS National Championship.

He was selected in the third round of the 2007 NFL draft.

His father, Ray McDonald Sr, was also a star player at Florida.

He has helped form a dominant defensive line in San Francisco alongside Justin Smith .
