ABOUT RAY RIZZO

Known as a multi-time winner of the Pokemon World Championships, this professional video gamer won his first championship title in Hawaii in 2010.

After attending Cherokee High School in Burlington County, New Jersey, he relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, to study at Drake University.

In the 2011 Pokemon World Championships (held in San Diego, California), he earned the Pokemon title after defeating his primary competitor, Matteo Gini.

He was born and raised in the Marlton district of Evesham Township, New Jersey.

He and Freddie Wong , born seven years apart, were both prominent American video gamers.
