ABOUT RAYMOND MOLEY

Cleveland civil leader who was the assembler of Franklin D. Roosevelt 's 'Brain Trust', a group of trust advisors who helped him with the details of his infamous New Deal.

As a close advisor to FDR, he wrote many of the president's speeches, and invented the 'New Deal' label for the set of policies designed to pull American out of the Depression.

After some time he quit his position on FDR's staff and grew disillusioned in the New Deal economic policies and the president's involvement in foreign affairs.

He was born in Berea, Ohio, where he stayed through his college years.

He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom Richard Nixon in 1970, whom he supported during Nixon's campaigning days.
