Reed Sheppard

ABOUT REED SHEPPARD

Collegiate shooting guard and athlete who first enrolled into the University of Kentucky as a freshman in the year 2023. Besides shooting guard, he also plays the position of point guard. As a former four-star recruit, he chose Kentucky over the University of Louisville and the University of Virginia .

He is a graduate of North Laurel High School. While there, he was named a McDonald's All-American.

As a senior in high school, he was named Mr. Basketball for the entire state of Kentucky. He finished his high school years with 3,727 career points. Before the start of the 2024 NCAA tournament, Sheppard was named the national freshman of the year by the USBWA. He stands 6'3" tall and weighs nearly 190 pounds.

He is the son of Jeff and Stacey Sheppard. He also has a sister named Madison. In 2020, he began dating Brailey Dizney.

He credits Chris Paul as being one of his biggest basketball influences while growing up.
