Reuben Kamanga

ABOUT REUBEN KAMANGA

Zambian politician who became the country's first Vice President in October 1964. He was demoted to Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1967, and then became Minister of Rural Development.

He served as the deputy president of the United National Independence Party.

He was imprisoned numerous times during the Zambian struggle for independence.

He married Edna Mwansa Kabungo.

He was Vice President to President Kenneth Kaunda for three years.
