He studied at the Somerset College of Art, Taunton, St. Martin's School of Art, London and the Royal College of Art.
He was a winner of the Turner Prize.
His parents raised him in Bangor, Wales.
He and Gabriela von Habsburg are both known as abstract sculptors.
