ABOUT RICHARD TANDY
British musician mostly known for playing piano and keyboard for Electric Light Orchestra . He also plays bass, and guitar, and does backing vocals for the band. The classical sound of his instrumentals were key parts of albums like A New World Record, and Out of the Blue.
He first joined the band's lineup in 1972.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2017 as a member of the Electric Light Orchestra. He met his future bandmate Bev Bevan while the two attended school together in Birmingham, England. He is proficient at playing the Wurlitzer.
He is married to his second wife Sheila. They live together in Wales.
He, Jeff Lynne , Roy Wood , and Bev Bevan are all fellow bandmates.
