ABOUT RICK FAMUYIWA

American filmmaker and television director who is best known for the films The Wood , Brown Sugar, and Dope , as well for his work on the television series The Mandalorian . He has directed multiple episodes of the TV show We Will Be Monsters.

He double-majored in cinematic arts film & television production and cinematic arts critical studies at the University of Southern California .

In 2008, he received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture for the film Talk To Me. His Instagram account rickfamuyiwa has gained over 20,000 followers.

In 1999, he married his wife, Glenita Mosley.

He is the executive producer of the Disney series The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal .
