ABOUT RICK ROSENTHAL
Worked as a director on many popular TV series including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Smallville. He also directed two films in the Halloween horror franchise.
He graduated cum laude from Harvard in 1971.
He directed a sequel to Hitchcock's The Birds called The Birds II: Land's End, which he attempted to distance himself from by using the name Alan Smithee.
He met actress Nancy Stephens, whom he would eventually marry, while filming Halloween II.
His 1983 film Bad Boys helped jumpstart the career of a young Sean Penn .
