British politician who was Chancellor of the Exchequer starting in February 2020. He is a member of the Conservative Party. He was Chief Secretary to the Treasury from July 2019 to February 2020. He resigned from being Chancellor in July of 2022. He became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party in October 2022.

He worked for Goldman Sachs. He was a partner at two hedge fund firms.

He loves sugary food such as cinnamon buns, muffins, cookies, cake, and Coca-Cola. He enjoys playing 1990s video games, such as Super Mario Kart.  He has over 3.4 million followers on Instagram.

He met his wife, Akshata Murthy, while studying at Stanford University . She is the daughter of the Indian billionaire N. R. Narayana Murthy.

He was Theresa May 's Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Local Government.
