ABOUT ROBERT EGGERS

Screenwriter best known for his films The Witch and other horror films. He has also gone on to direct his screenplays. He has been making short films since 2007 and made his first feature film in 2015.

He began his career working in theatre as a production designer, before transitioning to film.

He appears in the credits of Ari Aster's Midsommar under "Thanks."

He has two brothers, one of which co-wrote the film The Lighthouse with him. He grew up in Lee, New Hampshire.

The actor Willem Dafoe has starred in two of his feature films.
