ABOUT ROBERT GOLOB

Leader of Slovenia's Freedom Movement, which is the nation's major green-liberal political party. He is the second-ever elected chairman of the party. In April 2022, he and the Freedom Movement were appointed over the Slovenian Democratic Party. Prior to his allegiance with the Freedom Movement, he was a member of Slovenia's Party of Alenka Bratusek .

He graduated from the University of Ljubljana in 1994. He received his college degree in electrical engineering.

Despite the party only being two years old, the Freedom Movement party won the 2022 Slovenian parliamentary election. The party holds almost 50 percent of the Slovenian parliamentary seats.

He grew up living with his family in Šempeter pri Gorici, Slovenia. He lives with his wife, Jana Nemec.

He defeated Janez Jansa to become leader of the 2022 Slovenian National Assembly.
