ABOUT ROBERT B. WEIDE
American film and television producer, director and screenwriter known for producing and directing Curb Your Enthusiasm and Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth. He was also screenwriter for The Giver . He has produced many documentaries about comedians and notable figures, including W.C. Fields, Mort Sahl , Lenny Bruce , Woody Allen and Kurt Vonnegut Jr. .
In 1978, he took film production courses at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. There, he worked on producing his first film, The Marx Brothers in a Nutshell, which was later broadcast on PBS in 1982, and became "one of the highest-rated programs in PBS history."
He is a big fan of the American family comedy act known as The Marx Brothers. His Curb Your Enthusiasm credit "Directed by Robert B. Weide" became a meme, and is often placed at the end of comedic video clips.
He is married to Linda Bates.
He worked with Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
