ABOUT ROBIN THEDE
Comedy writer and sketch and improvisational comedian who made history in 2015 after being hired by The Nightly Show. She was the first African-American woman to be head writer for a late-night talk show. She later hosted BET's The Rundown, becoming the first African-American woman to host a late-night TV talk show.
She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and African-American Studies.
She starred in a BET original web series titled Buppies. She was a staff writer on Real Husbands of Hollywood , another BET original.
She was born to Dave and Phyllis Thede, a German-American man and African-American woman. She has two younger sisters.
She was a head writer on The Queen Latifah Show.
