ABOUT ROMANO MUSSOLINI
Respected jazz artist and painter who was the fourth son of Italy's fascist dictator Benito Mussolini .
He was introduced to jazz at age four from a record bought by his older brother. He performed under a different name at the start of his career.
His group, the Romano Mussolini All Stars, became one of Italy's most popular jazz bands in the 1960s.
His father was just as much a dictator at home as he was in office, always pushing young Robert to practice more. He would play classical pieces on the violin alongside his father as a child.
He was just as popular in the U.S. as in Italy, jamming with the likes of Louis Armstrong , Dizzy Gillespie, and Lionel Hampton.
