ABOUT RONY GOMES

Professional Brazilian skateboarder known for his range of sponsorships from companies such as TNT Energy, Oakley, Santa Cruz, and Alta Wheels. He is known for his vert style of skateboarding and shares both clips and photos of his skating for his over 120,000 Instagram followers.

He first began skateboarding with his friends when he was nine. He started entering competitions and soon after he won the Brazilian 2009 Championships. In 2010 he became a professional and placed second in the Rome World Cup.

In 2013, he competed in the series of X-Games events and emerged as the world champion in the vertical skateboarding events. That same year he won the Brazilian Cup of Vertical Skateboarding as well.

He was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He later moved to Mooca where he was raised.

He was nicknamed Bòbinho for his resemblance both in skating and in looks to fellow Brazilian professional skateboarder Bob Burnquist .
