ABOUT RUDOLF SCHRADER
Gymnast who competed for the United States in the 1904 Olympics in St. Louis.
He competed in gymnastics tournaments in Germany, before moving to America when he was 15; in the U.S. he was a cabinet maker while training as a gymnast.
When he died he was nearly 106 years old, which made him the longest-lived Olympian in history.
He grew up in Magdeburg, Germany, but after moving to America at 15, he stayed in the states.
He kept the title of longest-lived Olympian for more than 32 years, until shooter Walter Walsh broke it.
