American film investor known for producing films such as The Tale of Despereaux , Little Fockers , Charlie St. Cloud , Cowboys & Aliens , and The Space Between Us . He is the founder of multiple companies, including Relativity Media and Proxima Media, and co-founder of Triller Fight Club.

He went to Brentwood High School in Los Angeles. He attended both UC Santa Barbara and UCLA but did not obtain degrees from either school.

He was included on the Fortune 40 Under 40 list in 2011. He has been involved in a variety of controversies, including lawsuits, accusations of running a Ponzi scheme, drunk driving incidents, and unpaid charity pledges.

His mother worked in real estate, and his father was a businessman. He married Britta Lazenga in 2015, but eventually got divorced. He then married Jessica Roffey in 2015, and the couple had two children together before getting divorced.

He was friends with Harvey Weinstein . He has been involved in multiple legal battles with YouTube star Ethan Klein .
